The machine was retrofitted and upgraded during the last several
years:
? In 2000
Complete new electric and CNC control by Heidenhain TNC 430
incl. axis motors, linear scales, cabling, electrical cabinet
etc.
? In 2004
The beds were ground and polished, the aerostatic ways of the
column on the bed was upgraded with a double pocket system which
improves the motion accuracy.
The y axis ways were reconditioned and all air nozzles were
replaced.
? In 2008
The Spindle head was modernized and redesigned.
The hydrostatic spindle bearing was replaced by a roller
bearing. This was the basic to upgrade the spindle speed form
1100 rpm to 1800 rpm.
The main drive was replace by an asynchronous motor make
KESSLER. All bearings in the gearbox were replaced.
The spindle was redesign for to tapers SK 50 DIN 69871 and DIN
69872.
? In 2010
The counterbalance system is hydraulic design. The pressure tank
of the system was replaced.
The machine is currently in plant, under power in Germany. It
will be removed from service in early February 2014
